Facing Today's Challenges & Complexities

Rabbi Chaim Zwick

We are living at a critical stage in Jewish history. Today's challenges and complexities are of a different magnitude. People are searching to fill a void and emptiness of a life lived without purpose and meaning. This feeling that something is missing is a universal human experience.

In order to remove this pain and emptiness that significantly compromises the quality of our existence, we must realize our lives are a work in progress - and do the emotional and spiritual work necessary to evolve into our greater selves.

Acquiring wisdom is not an academic discipline but a way to remove the internal obstacles that stand between us and enduring happiness. We must navigate the vast terrain - freeing ourselves from the domination of the human ego that brings with it much chaos, pain and suffering.

We must let go of anger, jealousy and other reactive behaviors that separate us from life's gifts - letting in patience, empathy and the type of compassion that opens us up to the giving and sharing foundation of our being.

Only Torah has the power to reveal our deepest essence, unite it with our divine creator, and thus unlock our deepest potential as human beings. As a worldwide leader in Jewish education, the "Jewish Heritage Foundation", continues to successfully initiate innovative methods of promoting the Torah's wisdom, as a stepping stone to enhancing the quality of people's lives.
