Global Vision

Rabbi Chaim Zwick

We live in a time of abundant opportunity. However, with opportunity comes responsibility. Responsibility to ourselves, our communities and to all mankind. We are the first generation in modern times to understand that we are faced with a difficult choice. Either we surge forward in peace, harmony and social responsibility, or allow barriers, doubt, misconceptions, prejudice, suspicion and narrow self- interest to eat away at the very fabric of our society.

At this critical juncture in our history, mankind must stop clinging to old patterns of behavior. He must let go of the strife that threatens to divide and afflict the human race. We must embrace a new vision, a new future full of hope and anticipation!

The ultimate aim in the life of every human soul, should be to attain moral and spiritual excellence! It is the process of aligning one's inner being and outward behavior with Torah principles and universal laws. Every person has been bestowed with a unique destiny by his creator - a destiny which unfolds as we exercise our free will, particularly in the area of character, morality and ethics.

A moral maturity derived from spiritual awareness is the chief civilizing force in human history. We must strive to attain the highest standards of morality and ethical behavior. We should not busy ourselves with our own concerns and self-interests, rather our focus should be on service to others. Our moral and spiritual advancement is therefore critical and of primary importance not only to our own well being, but also for the betterment of all humanity.
